cutting hair doesnt help you have to pick the nits off by hand before they hatch and put them in rubbing alcohol so they dont get attached to clothing and hatch anyway the whole hair cutting thing is an old wives tale lice can live in hair only 1 inch long do you rember history from school? thats why the egyptians shaved their heads for the most part

Please read my answer on your other question about this. There is no need to cut the hair. Please, this does work, I promise you that it does. It will only take you a half a day and the head lice and the nits are gone!!

I decided to just tell you again over here so that way you don't have to go back to the other question to get the answer. So here it is again.

You can listen to all those other answers and do everything that they tell you to do. That is fine, but you are still going to have them and have heck getting the nits out of the hair, I know and I promise you that! I have been down this road myself. What I am going to tell you will work on getting rid of the head lice and the nits!!! My daughter had hair down to the middle of her back and she got them from visiting her dads. I fought them for a long time until a friend told me how to get rid of them and it worked and it is CHEAP!!!!

HOW TO GET RID OF HEAD LICE AND THE NITS!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, first you will need the following items:
Vaseline
Goop Hand Cleaner (not the gritty stuff..this is like for the laundry)
Your favorite shampoo
Your favorite conditioner

Now, you do not have to cut any hair at all.

First, use the vaseline and rub the scalpe very good with it, leave it in for about 10 to 15 minutes. This is what is killing the lice and it is also breaking up the "glue" that is holding the nits (eggs) on the hair shaft.

Now after you have left the vaseline in for that amount of time, start working in the hand cleaner. This might take a lot as what you are doing at this point is breaking up the grease that is in the vaseline. When you think that the vaseline is broke down enough, shampoo the hair with your shampoo. Rinse the shampoo out of your hair. If you still feel the vaseline, put more hand cleaner in your hair and work it in really good and then shampoo your hair again. Repeat this process until you no longer feel the vaseline in your hair. Also while you are doing this, you are washing the dead lice out as well.

Shampoo your hair for the last time and rinse out the shampoo and then use your conditioner. And then rinse that out as you would normally do.

Now towel dry your hair, you can use a blow drier if you wish. But when you are dying your hair comb threw it with any comb or brush and the dead nits will fall out as the hair dries.

Your head lice and nits are gone!!

Now all you have to do it just treat your bedding and what have you.

I am not making this up by no means, but like I said you can try all those other ones that everybody told you about and try this one last if you want, but once you do this, they are GONE!!

The treatment is to wash hair with the Rid shampoo, remove all nits from the hair. The little combs don't work, use your finger nails and put them in alcohol after removed. Wash all bedding, there is a spray you can use for the couch and car upholstry. I'd recommend vacumming everything prior to spraying. Then i believe a week later you are supposed to reshampoo to make sure any last nits that hatched are killed.

Also, if you are having problems with them dying, your dr can prescribe a stronger solution to shampoo with, but you have to remove the nits from the hair.

I hate that... my head just started itching talking about it!
