What I'd Say

Talkin' to the mirror, whispering your name
It's just like you were here, you'd think I was insane
I hold these conversations in the silence of my room
Rehearsing all the things I'd say should I run into you

How's it goin', might be what I'd say
Well you broke my heart you know
Or it looks like rain today
Or God I've missed you
Since you went away
You're lookin' well
Or go to hell
Might be what I'd say

There's time I've been so angry
I could put my fist right through the wall
And then there's times I've come so close
To givin' you a call
I love you and I hate you
All at the same time
Then I pray you'll come back to me
Before I lose my mind

How's it goin', might be what I'd say
Well you broke my heart you know
Or it looks like rain today
Or God I've missed you
Since you went away
You're lookin' well
Or go to hell
Might be what I'd say

Or maybe, God I've missed you
Since you went away
You're lookin' well
Or go to hell
Might be what I'd say

A liryc came into my head when I read your question: "see I loved you like a sister but you mean to switch, and thats why we called you *****".. You know what, I actually thought about it now, while answering your question, and it really isnt easy.. You dont wana feel vulnerable, but you also dont want to talk to them too much cause it shows you care/cared and again - vulnerable. Best is I guess, just tell them how you feel, and never call them again. Then its on their consciousness! if they got any.. But yes, definately point out on what they will miss, I saw it in the answers, very clever!

I have had my heart broken 3 times, but at the same time I don't regret anything.

1st...ex hubby said hurtful things and was never home...said all i had to say to him and then left..can't really say just one thing..
2nd...he cheated and don't care why he hurt me
3rd...it was mutual and neither of us regret the chance we took to love each other

I told my ex he was a piece of ///// and then we got back together after me ignoring him and changing my number.
Forgiveness is a hard thing...... even later the down the road.
Usually I stop talking to people who hurt me.

Nothing. If you say anything that smacks of pining, then they will feel empowered by the torch you still carry. If you say anything negative, they will feel vindicated and that they made the right choice. If you say nothing, then you've moved past them and they meant nothing. That is the best thing you could say...nothing.

Well since it was a long time ago I would probably say............Thank you............ Its the disappointments and heart breaks that give us valuable lessons about life. Give it credit as experience learned. Besides if they broke my heart it was never meant to be.

I would thank her for letting me go so that I could finally meet someone worthy of my affection and whom I am eternally grateful for.

Without her I wouldn't be the person I am today and that she taught me a valuable lesson.

i wouldn't say anything...b/c the sometimes the less you say the more you mean. i'm one who used to yell and rant about how hurt i was, and that doesn't do anything. sometimes you need to give them "that look" that conveys everything you mean without using words. life isn't full of what you say, rather what you do.
