My girlfriend talks non stop about absolutely nuthin I cant watch a football game basketball game or just take a good nap without hearin about her work day or her family or she'll just ask a bunch of pointless question that guys dont care about i have to figure out a way to shut her up and not just her its all women

There was an interesting article the other day that says on average women talk three times as much as men on any given day. I have been on 4-5 hour trips in the car before wanting to listen to the radio but my girlfriend would not stop talking till we got to where we were going. I think most women are this way.

Uh, well, I've run into males that can talk a lot too. I had a guy friend who took up the whole tape on my answering machine! I guess you just need to talk to her in a nice way. Some people do talk alot. But it sounds like you don't care for her much anyways, so why not break up with her and find a women who doesn't talk as much?

They did a survey on tv the other night saying women speak about 20,000 words a day and men about a 1/3 of that. My wife talks all the time, during games and movies too, all you can really do is ask them to not talk or get use to it when they do.

It seems to me that you don't like her enough to be with her without complaining, and can't stand her, then the real questing is WHY ARE YOU EVEN STILL WITH HER? if you can't stand her talking then don't stress out, and ask her to stop, just maybe you guys have different personality and you 2 don't fit together, think outside the box OK, and maybe you better off finding someone else that do less talking than her.

Women talk alot because that is what most of us do. She may be feeling like you never listen to her so she needs to talk alot so you do here her. Try just talking with her once in a while and maybe she will stop talking so much.

It sounds to me liek fundmental incompatablility. She should respect that you want to watch the game or take a nap sometimes, on the other hand, you should respect that she wants to talk to you sometimes. Neither of you is being considerate of the other.
