I was sitting on the train, and this really lovely girl was sitting a couple of seats away. There was nobody between us.
Well, our eyes sorta met and she flashed a smile at me. She looked like she was either not feeling very well (hung over?) or maybe depressed...
I was listening to my iPod... and i was going to just hand her my headphones and cue up "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt... just because she looked like she needed to know it. You know?
If somebody pulled this on you, what would you think?

Well, since I happen to know more details about this than you have given us....I guess I'll be a little more honest about this.
If you didn't say a word....and handed them to me...I would have accepted them....but it wouldn't get me.
The fact that you wanted to do it...very sweet. But....I think if you had just handed her your email address...so she could get to know you...if you handed it to her subtly...and it said "You're beautiful...want to get to know you better...with your email address..."
Now that..is where you're going to succeed in finding someone who can get to know the real you. The absolutely effing awesome person that Me, Myself and I know YOU ARE.
You're a great "catch". Live it. Learn it. Believe it. I do.

Unless you say something before you hand it to her, she may end up confused, not knowing exactly what you mean by it. Something like, here listen to what I'm feeling right now or something like that. It's sweet, and we like sweet,could be a winner!

I thought it was sweet, Its hard to find someone out there like you. who cares when they see a depressed person out there. that trait will take you far. If everyone was like that. this place would be alittle bit better.
