You can buy a flash card reader that connects to your computer and it will work as an external hard drive.
Walmart maybe cheaper than Kinkos. I have done some pictures at Walmart from a sd card and the pics have come out good.

Rosie,
Apparently you did not get the USB cable with your camera so you will need a USB card reader to transfer pics. Cardreaders are very inexpensive now. I just got my daughter one for under $10. But until then you can go to Walmart and use their one hour photo machine. Put your card into the slot and choose to only make a CD. These are under $3 and then take your CD home put pics in your comp and choose and edit the ones that you want to print. You can then burn another cd, transfer back to SD card or upload to Wal-mart photo for prints.
Get the card reader though for expediency.

I have a cord that connects my camera to the computer.
I open the camera folder, and copy the pictures to my computer, then use a program (Nero) to write them to a disk.

If you can't get the download, make sure your sd card is properly placed in your camera.

Many stores (like Blacks and Walmart) have machines that can read sd cards. If you still have difficulty, they probably can help you. The cost is usually the same as other types of pictures, and the quality is as good as your camera.

All stores use almost the same equipment so the quality will be same. What you get will depend on how good your picture were in the first place. No it is not expensive to get a CD as well but if you can try to hook up your digital camera and that way you can see which pictures are good, which ones to print, and maybe even burn your own CD.

You can always opt to buy a SD/MMC card reader. Just plug it in the USB port and insert your SD card in the card reader and you can now access the pictures and transfer it to your computer. That's what those stores use anyways, a card reader. It's a good investment for you and saves you the hassle of other people looking through your pictures.
