'Borat', you are throwing the race card. The question is, why.
Often, you'll see the issue of illegal immigration, and immigration in general, get derided as racism. Well, here's the facts: This year alone, it's estimated that some 1 million people will have crossed illegally into the United States. Bonus round, they're not all from Mexico, either, nor are they all hispanic. Regardless of ethnicity, illegal immigration is just that, illegal. You wouldn't walk into someone's house uninvited, nor should people expect to be welcomed as illegal aliens. Unfortunately, like I said before, 2 decades of enforcement negligence have delivered the country into a condition of real confusion, and I think it's only going to get worse. The country's changing, and not necessarily for the better, but to hear the supporters tell it, illegal aliens are the best thing for the country since sliced bread. In english, while we still speak it, that's complete and utter bullshit. It is gratifying to see, though, that persons found guilty of harboring, aiding, and abetting illegal aliens are being held to account, fined, some even serving jail time etc. One guy went to prison for 12 years and his company holdings confiscated, his illegal workforce deported.
Keep reading the news, there'll likely be more instances like that.
But, you have to start somewhere, set some kind of minimal standard, or stand back and watch the stampede, and there will be a stampede eventually, that is, unless reason and common sense overrule the mad rush to move to america. Now, people that want jobs typically end up finding jobs, be they legal or otherwise, people that want money find a way to earn it. But,
what should the law say, should the door be thrown wide open in the name of rampant entrepreneurialism, or instead should there be some sort of regulatory oversight over what goes on in business-land? Many tend to favor the latter, having regulation,
as at some point, competition becomes excessive. If you remember a few years back, when the Baby Bells were really in full swing, you were getting a call 4 times a day trying to get you to switch phone service. It was really annoying to say the least, and the obstacle they were trying to get over was the simple fact of market saturation. Well, if you continue to introduce a million people a year, plus the half-million legitimate immigrants, you have 1.5 million new potential employees being added to the workforce each year. Eventually, this will become 2, then 3, then 5. 6.5 billion people live in the world, Borat, how many neighbors did you want to have, again? LOL
Let's talk water table, arable land, living space, and so forth.
One common trait of countries considered to be '3rd world' is that they end up having pretty squalorous living conditions, 5-8 or even more people living in one place, that kind of thing. Privacy isn't something that you can really have in places like that, nevermind peace and quiet. As america in-fills, and suburban sprawl stretches out to cover what used to be farmland, forest, and so forth, that means that arable land, land that could be used for farming etc. will be graded, smoothed, and paved over for good. Sure, the real estaters make money off of that, and it's lucrative to keep pushing for growth, especially lucrative for homebuilders who also employ illegal aliens, there's a read that'll keep you busy for a couple days, but you just have to kind of wonder how it's all going to work out.
I don't know if you're much for statistics and projections, but the short version is that globally there's an unsustainable growth rate.
Right now, everyone's making a beeline for america because it's percieved that we've still got the wide open spaces that everyone was talking about 50 years ago etc. Well, a lot of those have already been in-filled, with more to come as the lawbreakers and bleeding-heart social engineers work their 'magic' on the country.
I don't hold that the current trend is very positive, nor do I believe that it'll ultimately end well for the country at large. Keep lobbying for it though, Borat, just remember the old adage: Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it. That whole 'american dream' crap needs to be replaced with 'the american reality check', in my view...wakey, wakey...

Here in the U S A, we grow up with respect for our country, our flag and our laws. Its not as much hate for the people, it is hate for what they are doing, that is openly breaking our laws. Its the same with them waving the Mexican flag and marching on tv, its not really the people we hate, its more what they do. Saying, we are here, we are staying here, also doesn't help. In Mexico, and most of Latin America, it just seems they have very little respect for law or laws, but here in the U S A, we do respect law, and no we do not always like the laws passed, but in the end those laws must be respected.

I am not racist, I have hispanic friends, many of which are also AGAINST ILLEGALS!!!!! what dont pro illegals understand about what happens when a country gets over populated, like the USA is starting to get??? What dont pro illegals understand about that those peple are here ILLEGALLY!!! What dont pro illegals understand about our rising crime problem from illegals. (they will say most thugs are American, to which I answer, true, so we dont need anymore criminals) what do pro illegals not understand about the thousands of immigrants waiting years to get into the usa, being forced to wait for longer because of illegals? What do pro illegals not understand about these people not paying taxes? What do pro illegals not understand about the millions of Americans WHO DO WANT TO WORK, but cant, live in poverty, while some dumb illegals takes those jobs that for hundreds of years Americans took. What do pro illegals not understand about our hospitals being overcrowded by illegals???No, we are not racist, we support legal immigration just not ILLEGAL. What part of ILLEGAL do you not understand?
