This was the rule at my parents house when I was 17 I didn't get it then but now that I am a mother I get it! If you are still in school and we are paying to keep a roof over your head then you follow our rules! Now when I turned 18 I thought I would be slick and move out so I could do what I wanted.....That was the biggest mistake of my life!!!! Stay young and at HOME for as long as you can even if it means you have to help pitch in and follow the rules!

Mothers and daughters always have arguments. Maybe you need to think about what you are doing to anger her and make the both of you argue. You are to young to be on your own. Do you have a job, a place to live if you leave. I know you can't see it now, but I bet your mom is just trying to protect you. This old world is full of stuff that you are to young to handle. Do what your mom asks of you, do the right things and make the right decisions and show her that you can be trusted and maybe she will let you do more things. As a parent, it is our job to protect our children and guide our children to do the right things in life so they can become responsible adults. You should be glad your mother cares about you instead of letting you run the streets. It is not as easy as you think it is, out on your own. Don't try to grow up to quick you have the rest of your life to be an adult, do what's right by your mother and enjoy being a teenager, don't let peer pressure influence you be your own person and enjoy who you are and be proud. You should always respect your mother, she has been around longer than you and has experienced a little more than you. Be honest and upfront with her and maybe she will trust you enough to let you out of the house!!!

If you are a responsible person 17 years old is old enough to leave the house and go somewhere without persmission as long as you are letting a family member know where you are going but that age curfews still need to be set till you are 18.

show your mom and everyone around you that you are a responsible adolescent. showing them that you are a responsible adolescent will gain them trust to let you go out. your mom/family should also meet and talk to your friends to get that comfort that her baby is hanging with the right crowd and not doing something stupid out there. always let her know where you are exactly. don't lie because that will only make her trust you less. be honest. and be accessible when she calls to check in.
try talking to your mom to make an agreement to let you out once or twice a month. try to negotiate without arguing. also listen to what your mom is saying. she only wants the best for you and wants you to be safe.

Your a teenager......she's a parent...fighting is inevitalbe.
Honestly, don't move out. It is way too expensive to live on your own. If you get an apt. you will get mooching friends that still live at home hanging out in your place eating all your food. Its not worth it, you will be so broke that you will have to move back home anyways, so just stay at home and save yourself the trouble.

Of course she is keeping you at home, you are still a child and your mom is trying to raise you to be a lady. You know nothing of this world yet, you have no life experience. Learn to listen to your Mother, she won't tell you wrong.
