It doesnt use unnatural chemicals that can mess with the environment. Fertilizers that can get into the ground water, or run off into streams. Healthy foods that dont have chemicals all over them, Can also mean doesnt use any equipment that uses fossil fuels, like tractors. Thats good because we are rapidly depleting our fossil fuels and the CO2 released by them is causing the green house effect we are experiencing with the warming of our atmosphere

If purchasing organic products, this sometimes helps the small farmer, however big Ag-industrial business is getting into the organic business, and is not always doing things right.

Also organic gardening is less stressful on ecosystem services, that that helps make life viable and helps keep biodiversity healthy.

If you are doing the organic gardening then you will benefit from healthy food, that has more nutrients in it and you are also not exposed to toxicants from pesticides and inert ingredients from fertilizers.
