how old is the tv? I have been trying to look it up to get a new price and cant even find it. Look to see how much it is brand new.

My husband does convergence on that model for $300 flat taxes included. Call around to a few smaller liscenced busnesses and get quotes.

I have a Toshiba Big Screen (2 1/2 yrs old) that had the same problem. I took it to a reliable "big screen" repair shop and they quoted $379 + tax to fix it. I asked them if it was worth it, and they assured me that it was (if I wanted big screen pictures). They cautioned me not to buy one of the new low-priced big screens, such as RCA 52" on sale for $500 over the Thanksgiving weekend, because they always show up at the repair shop in less than a year.

I fixed mine and am happily watching sports again.
