Give her what you can afford. Same answer whether you are buying a gift or giving money. And age shouldn't be a factor. Give her a hug, too!

Whatever u can afford if that $5 then ok, if u can afford $1000 for a cruise for her then give that! Your Grandmother will know u care either way.
