I take my instant oatmeal and make in micro according to directions, but then add enough milk after its cooked to make it drinkable...the put it in my mug and have breakfast. Is my family the only one who does this?

I've done that. You can put it in a mug and drink it 'on the go' for a 'hurry-up' breakfast. Beats just coffee. Merry Christmas.

No I've never heard of it but don't find it odd. As long as you're getting breakfast in you, and you're even getting a good dose of calcium, if you want to drink it I say go for it! Lots of people "drink" their breakfast. Maybe not oatmeal but that's ok.

I think you have discovered a new healthy oatmeal drink, and you might think about creating a new product. It actually sounds delicious to me. I've worked a new food product manager too!

tried and tasted it before.great if you woke up late in the morning and need a quick breakfast..oat is good for breakfast as it will last longer and you will not get hungry faster.great for those on diet.add a few slices of fruit(e.g: banana) to make it more tasty and healthier :)

I have never heard of consuming oatmeal that way, but it doesn't sound bad. My whole family loves oatmeal, and if that makes it more portable, and faster, then there you go! Thanks for the idea.
