almost any big company can sponor you if they are willing and have the money... it's a matter of money really and whether they can show that no one can fill they job you can.... but money can be used to show that no one can fill you job... so it's really just money.... it's easy to get a company to help you with tempory employment though... because showing that no american can do your job is not always possible in some industries.... but all you have to do is ask the company you are interested in working with if they can sponsor you.... if they don't know, they can consult their attornys and look at the paperwork

almost anyone and everyone can sponsor for greencard, as long as they can justify that the skill of the person they are sponsoring are not available within the US, and they have to hire someone from abroad.

so the process for employer sponsored green card starts with a job in the organization, and the worker is granted an H1B visa, and the person who holds an H1B can be sponsored by the company.

also a few years back, us governmnet allowed all people living illegally in the us, to apply for a green card, if someone from the family could sponsor them or if they could find a job, where the employer would sponsor the workers green card application. but that was a one time procedure.
