I'm going on a diet and it requires you to eat squash. I'm allergic to it. Is there a good substitute out there? Thanks!

I'm sure it's not required that you have to eat squash. It's just low-calorie and high fiber. So you could use any non-starchy vegetable.....like broccoli, carrots, cauliflower. Steamed is much better than boiling it. Even microwaving is better than boiling. Eat them raw, too if you like---even better. Stay away from corn, peas, beans (lima, edimame).

You can pick any veggie with similar calories & carbs. My favorites are broccoli and asparagus.
