Yes but hard. Human being needs companionship, we need to talk, touch, feel the one we love. And, the pain is too much to bear. But, a strong relationship can survive anything.

There are many factors to consider. If you have been together awhile and the long distance is only temporary, it is probably workable. If it is a new relationship, I think it is much harder to really get to know the person and see if you are compatible in real life. If it goes on for too long, it seems pointless. The whole idea of a relationship is to have a partner in your life. If you see each other every few weeks or once a month, you're going to be pretty lonely. It wouldn't work for me for very long.

Short term, yes, long term no. A long distance relationship can be worked out for a while, but a real relationship needs more physical contact and day to day interaction.

I'm going through this right now! If you can't trust your other 100million percent that they won't cheat or do anything stupid then no. But if you are solid and you are able to hook up from time to time and the distance has no strain on your relationship then yes.

i have heard a frase that says in spanish "amor de lejos, amor de "#$%&%#" , in english means that it´s silly a love like this, but i think that when it´s true love it´s possible. But you have to be aware of the conditions you would be... means, no hugs, no kisses, not the real living... sometimes people involved in this kind of relationships suffer too much because of the same thing... and end the relation.
