Well, when you put "X" instead of Christ you are crossing out Christ. My family celebrates Christmas by remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.
And yes, we exchange gifts but we remember "The reason for the season"

You can start with calling it CHRISTMAS and not xmas! The things to reflect on are how lucky you are to be able to send out these questions. You have a brain, eyes, hands, thoughts, ideas, feelings; a warm place to sit, electricity, food; you know, the basic necessities. Then you can thank the One for helping to make this all happen, The Creator, he is the one who gives you the intelligence, the drive, the means to make a living. Finally you can thank him for your family, your friends and make the world a better place by paying all of this forward. Do something nice for a neighbor (without telling them who did it), donate your time at a homeless shelter, take more than one gift tag off of the tree at your local church, buy a bunch of blankets and go to the homeless area of your town and hand them out. Did this help???

The point of the celebrations is to take the darkest, coldest, hardest, dreariest time of year, and celebrate light, life, hope, joy, giving, caring, and togetherness.
You celebrate the best of life in the hardest time. It helps you get through it. It's a reminder that things go on, things get better, we are never defeated as long as we remember to hope.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"

Just don't forget what is the true meaning of Christmas?
About the birth of Jesus.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

first of all it is CHRISTmas not xmas!
that aside you should reflect on the reason for the season, Christs birth, not all the materialism society has brought on.
