Well since you are obviously an irresponsible, uneducated pet owner I would say put the cat in a carrier and take it to your closest humane society.
ALL pet cats should be spayed or neutered. Not nuddered. Neutered. ALL of them. The shelter will make sure she doesn't go live with an idiot owner.

If she is in heat she is old enough to be spayed. Please, please spay your cat. You won't have these issues and she'll be happier. Just look at any shelter site, and you will see what a big issue we have with pet overpopulation. It's not out of this world expensive, and how can you not have the time? You call the vet, drive the cat to the vet, pick the cat up from the vet. Not really a huge issue.

If she's old enough to be in heat, she's old enough to be spayed. If you don't have the time to take her to a veterinarian and have her spayed, perhaps a cat really isn't the right pet for you. They really do require time and energy to take care of properly, and spaying her is one of the best things that you can do for both of you. If it's an issue of money, contact your local humane society. They may be able to provide you with information on discounted spay/neuter clinics in your area.

And to add what everyone else said..........
She will be healthier. If she has no uterus or reproduction organs, she won't get cancer of those organs, which is quite common once an animal gets a bit older. So, spay now and put out around 100 or 150 to do that and have no worries bout kitties or cancer..........Or, have kitties, and have to take care of ALL them, which is more expensive...........Or, have kitties then possibly develop cancer later, and you don't want to know the cost of that.
Basically, your best bet, and cheapest, spay the girl, and just worry about normal things, colds, and stuff like that.

If your cat is in heat, then she is old enough to be spayed. Period. It is really irresponsible of you to not have the "time" to get your cat spayed. There are so many unwanted cats, dogs, etc. that are euthanized every year because people like you refuse to get their pet spayed or neutered. You should do the best thing for your pet if you really care about her.

it would be called spaying for a female. and that is the best way to keep her from getting pregnant and having to endour the discomfort of being in heat. since she is already going through heat cycles you have missed your chance to keep her from ever getting mamary cancer.
It doesn't sound like you have time to properly take care of your cat and look out for her best interest, maybe you should think about taking it to a no kill shelter where someone can adopt her that will have the time for her.

I was the same...had a female cat on heat. I, like you, was holding out until the point she was continually coming onto me...and attempting kitty love with my favorite pair of shoes...enough was enough. Spay the beeeatch! Now she's cut and cuddly and will only use my shoes for sleeping on...not the other perverted stuff.

There are so many unwanted kittens in the world - I think you need to be a responsible cat owner and get her spayed at your earliest convenience. At the end of the day it's for her benefit and, if you love your pet, it's something you should do for her. If you get her spayed you won't need to worry about keeping her in and things like that in the future - much better all round. Please check and discuss with your vet over the age your cat must be and the cost.

She's young and you don't "got" the time?
Come on! Be a responsible pet owner. You owe it to your animals to take care of them to the best of your ability. If you cannot spay or neuter them you should not get them. Period.
Animals are not to be put on the back burner for when you have nothing better to do. Now find the damn time to take care of your animals!
Sheesh!

Be a responsible pet owner and get her spayed. If she's old enough to be in heat, she's old enough to be spayed. There's nothing you can "do on your own" to prevent a cat from going into heat.
