YOU HAVE TO REALLY WANT TO QUIT!!! ARE YOU TIRED OF FEELING SICK, HUNGOVER, EMBARRASSED, GUILTY, ETC?...., IF YOUR ANSWER IS YES, THEN IT IS TIME. FIRST, DETOX/REHABILITATION... AND MOST LIKELY, COUNSELING WILL BE NEEDED THROUGH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, DEPENDING ON HOW LONG AND HOW SEVERE YOUR ADDICTION IS. PEACE!

Tell your doctor, consent to inpatient detox/rehab. That is only the start, addiction is an ongoing disease/problem you have to fight.
There are many AA and NA meetings everywhere-if you are hospitalized for detox--you will be made aware of these resources. Also, have to stay away from other users. The very first step seems you have almost taken is by asking this question --which means you have admitted the problem--GOOD FOR YOU!! Best of luck to you!!

If you really want to quit, you will be able to it will be hard and you will have to change your lifestlye quite a bit.
Stay away from people and places that remind you of it. Keep yourself busy exercising alot helps.
If you don't want to go into a rehab/detox place to help with withdrawls. It helps to find some soothing music. Have lots of water and foods that are easy on your stomache. Have some gartorade, or other drinks iwth vitimans and electrolayets to keep yourself from becoming dehyrated once you start throwing up.Tell people that you are leaving for week. Lock yourself in your apartment, don't answer the door or the phone.
Hot baths and showers and lots of sleep help with the cramps.
Mediation helps also.

Well if impatient rehab is not an answer...Like it was for me. Then I recommend Therapy and a support group. Stay away from the ones you was around who do it. And tell your self you do not need it. That is what I had to do it is hell for about 3 months it gets easier if you stay away from access to it.
I have been clean for a long long time now

Talk to your doctor. Ask them about N/A (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings in your area. Also AA has chapters in almost every town.
