They die and their negative energy dissipates into the ether...If a person is truly able to kill themselves, they must believe that it is for the better...absolutely no hope...so if a person truly believes there is no hope for them, that they have no purpose to their life, or that the world will be a better place, why would we think it is better for them to be kept alive?...what a living hell their day to day lives would be...

Depends on the condition of their soul, before they commit the act of suicide. A lot of people see the act of suicide, as committing the unpardonable sin. However, that is not true.
By the "condition of their soul" I mean, are they saved or unsaved? Are they a forgiven or unforgiven sinner? Being that we are all sinners, forgiven or unforgiven. Have they at one time, been born again? For sin is Sin. The acts we do are the "fruits" of sin, which "exists" in each of us, no matter if we are forgiven or unforgiven. It's the "human" nature, the "flesh" nature, the "sinful" nature, we inherited from our first parents - Adam and Eve. But, Remember, Christ's blood covers "All Sin" Pass, Present and Future. If they are unforgiven, "never" been born again, they are according to the Bible "already" doomed to the lake of fire. There's no change in their eternal state.

The same thing that is true of people that do not commit suicide.
It is not necessarily a sin to commit suicide; please read John 15:13, 1 John 3:16. The 'deciding' variable may be 'why' did one commit suicide. That piece is between God and that person; not you or I (unless you or I is the one to commit suicide).
May you receive a pleasant surprise today!!!!

Suicide under any circumstances is morally and spiritually wrong.Taking one's own life due to frustration or disappointment causes great suffering. If one leaves this world with a confused and frustrated mind,it is most unlikely that he/she would be born again in a better condition.Suicide is an unwholesome act and is encouraged by a mind filled with greed, hatred and delusion.
Some people sacrifice their own lives for what they deem as a noble cause. They take their own lives and others lives by such method as suicide bombing.Such actions may be classified as brave or cowardice, but these actions can never be condoned!

The bible doesn't say.
But our life is a gift and he has plans for us. We can have rough times and later they pass.
check this out if you or someone you know is thinking about suicide and click on link;
Have you ever thought about killing yourself? Know someone that has? If so, you are not alone.
ISP, a nonprofit organization, was formed to help you and millions of others just like you.
The purpose of our nonprofit public charity ISP:
a. Educating the general population, community leaders, social workers, mental health professionals, police, military and world leaders on suicide awareness and its prevention through the internet, classes, workshops and lectures. Provide support to family survivors of a suicide that are unable to afford clean up costs, counseling, temporary housing, funeral expenses, and other costs that may be associated with the loss of the household breadwinner (not to exceed $10,000.00 per incident). Providing these services is essential to reduce the need for other social services regularly associated with caring for families that maybe displaced due to the loss of a breadwinner, mental health issues that may arise after witnessing the carnage often associated with suicide and to break the chain of suicide. Those that are close to someone that commits suicide are seven times more likely to later on in life attempt a suicide as a way to deal with a difficult life issue. Generally these individuals are not aware of the need to seek professional help when dealing with a tragedy of this magnitude and through this organizations effort the goal is to reduce the national and international suicide rate.
b. Everyday, in the United States, about 80 people end their own lives.
c. A very conservative estimate is that over one million people kill themselves each year in the world.
83,333 people ever month!
2,740 a day!
114 every hour!
1 person kills themselves every thirty seconds!
Statistically, the suicide rate will increase as a result of these world events influencing our culture change: rising gases prices, the cost of goods, a lack of faith in society’s leaders, and role models with feet of clay.
Sincerely,
Matthew Dovel,
President of ISP

Well for a person to commit suicide it is a sin. In fact it is one of the worst sins. Why? To despair in such a way is to deny God and his Mercy, and a sin against Holy Spirit (to deny God's Charity/Love and Hope) And for those people, though we can not judge a soul; it would appear that they go to Hell.
However, there are those we can think of that have suffered deeply from mental illness, I believe God in His great Mercy would see this and His compassion would be overwhelming for them and I can see God enveloping His arms around them to ease their suffering.
I hope. I truly do.

we do not know for sure as some people are not in their proper senses at the time due to mental illness and depression etc, however some Christians seem to have a small God mindset Who will pounce on suicide cases, I happen to believe in a Big God who is much more merciful than this, and I am content to leave these poor souls to His mercy.

Depending on whether they were saved or not, they would go to Heaven. I don't believe anything can take away salvation, not even suicide.
By the way, I had a cousin commit suicide in college and he was a Christian, and I believe he is in Heaven right now.

They die.
If you are talking about in the afterlife, Nothing at all.
They simply return to God like everyone else.
Each of us is a part of God so there is really nowhere else to go. God is not the punishing judgmental jerk religion makes Him out to be.
If each of us are a part of God like religion tells us then who exactly would God be sending to hell for eternity, Himself?
How logical is that.
love and blessings Don
