i just got them out yesterday and they gave me two different types of pills to take, oxycodone, an ibuprofen. but then, i also have to take low blood pressure pills and my birth control pills. i got up this morning and took my low blood pressure pills, and birth control. I ate some jello and then took the other two pills.. i got a really upset stomache and threw up the jello...
is it just because i have to take so many pills?

I felt really sick for the first few days after I got mine out over the summer. I got them out on a Friday and still felt sick Monday and Tuesday while I was back at work. But, medications affect people differently.

It could definitely be because you have so many pills to take right now. You're stomach can't handle all those pills with just jello and milk in your stomach. You could try to eat more, or maybe try to get the pills on a different schedule......like taking two pills in the morning and waiting a few hours before taking the other pills. It may help.

Have you taken Oxycodone before? I'm just asking because I know of two poeple who just can't handle the pills, they throw them up.

If you don't have a high level of pain, then only take the ibuprofen for pain. You didn't eat enough to take the oxycodone med.

By the way, depending on how long it was after you took your blood pressure and birth control pills, you might have thrown them up also. Be careful.

I would think so. I work at a vet clinic, and with dogs that take like 4 pills at a time, it can also upset their stomach. We recommend that they eat a meal before taking the pills. I know it is hard because you just got your wisdom teeth out, but maybe like soup or something will help. Then wait a few minutes and take your pills. If you still throw up, then i would ask your doctor about it. I hope this helps.

Pain medicine makes me sick too, no matter what I have on my stomach. If you can handle it, take the IBProfen through the day and 1/2 Oxy at night. It will help you rest and sleep. If you wake up later in pain, take the other half.
It shouldn't have anything to do with the low BP or birth control medicine.
It is very common for narcotics to make ppl. vomit.
Good Luck.
I hope you feel better soon!

You need something other than jello in your stomach when taking pills. Try taking with milk, yougurt, cottage cheese...something soft. I had to have 2 broken teeth pulled last week and I take birth control too and have not gotten sick from anything.

You didn't say which pain medicine you took for the pain. Which ever pain medicine you took probably upset your stomach so try taking the other pain medicine next time. Also be sure to eat a little more than just jello if you can if you take the pain medicines as they can aggrivate your stomach.

it could have been the milk.... are you susposed to take both pills at the same time (the ones for your teeth)? if so then it had to be the milk.
