I have a friend that lives in Brazil he can speak 4 languages..when I talk with him on msn I translate to him in portugese and write in english also.It's like he can't understand either language. I like to be able to talk to him on messenger the same as my other friends. One of my friends said maybe he can't read that good but a guy that can speak in 4 languages seems smart to me. This is really making it hard to commicate with him.

He may be exaggerating..... Does he claim he speaks english as one of the 4 languages? Online translation engines don't always work that well, that could explain why he doesn't understand the portuguese. But another possibility is he's a 12 year old serbian kid who only really speaks Serbian.

Talk to him..There is something called MIC, that is usefull in such cases.
MSN has now a very good sound and is easy to talk through it
