It's called being a parent, showing love and concern. Making sure that the person comes from a family with morales and values. Making sure that you will come back home from your date and not end up in a ditch some place.

It's called "vetting" and depending upon the level of it, it can be very intrusive but sometimes necessary.

i think its' called the application process. my mom wouldn't pass mother teresa if i tried to date her.....and she was still alive. i quit caring what my parents thaught of my dates a long time ago. it's not up to them anyway.

Loving thier child enough to protect them if they can! I know it is aggrivating, but be thankful that you have someone in your life who loves you enough to go the extra mile to see you are safe! :)
