Put something on your countertop that she won't like to walk on. I put plastic carpet runner stuff on my sofas -- pointy side up-- to keep my dogs off of there. After a while, they just assumed it would be there, and stopped getting up there. Maybe that "trick" would work on your KittyCat. You could also try spraying paper towels with pet deterant spray from the pet store and lay it on the counter top. Or even try vinegar on paper towels -- they don't like the smell. Good luck... and "Bad Kitty! Stay off of there!" :)

I have the same problem with my new cat, Sam. He's 5 years old and is exploring everything. I do use the spray bottle of water and that sometimes helps.
You could try:
Lambert Kay Boundary Indoor/Outdoor Dog & Cat Repellents
A training aid for your pet. Will repel dogs and cats for up to 24 hours when applied daily. Keeps pets away from furniture, carpet, trees, shrubs, garbage cans and bags, and other forbidden areas. In pump spray and aerosol.

put some mouse traps upside down with a piece of paper on top. when the cat gets up on the counter the trap will go off and scare the cat. another thing that cats don't like is putting aluminum foil on the counters.

Fill a spray bottle with water and every time they jump up there, pick up the water bottle and tell them to get down. If they don't spray them a couple times till they jump down. I've tried beating them and spanking them but my mom uses the water bottle and it's the only thing I have seen that will work.

Try a small amount of vinegar mixed in a spray bottle with the water. Spritz then when they are in a place that you dont want them. They hate the smell and after a few shots....they give up. I have heard of the orange peel trick as well. Tin foil too...they dont like how the foil feels on their paws!

Roll up a newspaper page or any paper and then swat her with it every time you catch her. You don't even need to swat HER... you can just hit the counter top really hard with it to scare her. They don't like the noise from the paper and they jump down and run! :) You have to be consistant tho. I have three cats and it worked with all of them. They WILL sneak behind your back tho and when you aren't home. So do make sure to put left overs away.... especially hot dogs or stuff like that because they WILL try to get it! :) We will be out watching TV and then hear one jump down! They can hear us coming to see which one and they are usually gone by then! :) Give it a try.... just make sure to roll it loosely enough so it makes noise when you swat her or the counter top. You can even just swat your leg or hand with it while chasing her after she has jumped down. It's the noise, so don't hit to try to hurt her like a spanking... just make sure it makes noise! :)

Get a carpenter to slope all kitchen surfaces to 45 degrees.
Put velcro on the surface of the workarea and the underside of all utensils. Cut your cats claws.
Or you could nail the cat to the floor. Get him some lead booties.
