Cakes and cookies can be baked in the microwave oven using the conventional feature. Just follow the temperature and time given and your baking will turn out beautifully.

If you bake cookies using the microwave feature, you can place the cookie dough on a microwave-safe plate (i.e. any ceramic microwave plate that has no gold or silver trimming along the edges).
For example:

MICROWAVE PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY
COOKIES

1 c. flour
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, cut up
2 tbsp. water
3 tbsp. grape jelly

1. Blend flour, peanut butter, sugar and butter in food processor until combined. Add water through feed tube until mixture holds together.

2. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.

3. Arrange evenly on 2 round microwave-proof plates. Press balls with handle of wooden spoon to make depression.

4. Microwave for 2 minutes on high.

5. Turn plate and microwave 1 1/2 minutes.

6. Press cookies again with spoon and fill with 1/4 teaspoon of jelly.

7. Microwave again for 30 seconds.

8. Cool completely on plate.

9. Repeat with second batch.

Makes 30 cookies.
