I mean most of us expect the generic"OK" answer or"not so bad"
but what would you do if someone actually took a few minutes and really told you? scary huh!

I have found myself asking out of habit. I make eye contact and wait to hear their response if I truly want to know.
Trying to change my greeting to "nice to see you" instead for those that I don't really care to know.

When I ask it is out of concern, curiosity, etc. Many times I had no one to talk to so I reach out to others in need of a little or a lot of conversation.

Your right people really never tell the truth so I guess other people do not either. It would be odd if someone actually told the truth.

Never, unless you're sitting and have the time to listen and answer back to the person who's responding.

If someone took the time to answer me honestly, I would appreciate it....too often we just answer "OK" and "not so bad."

Never. I just want to hear "good" and be on my way.
But if I were asking a close friend, I wouldn't mind spending a few to hear what's up.

If I really want to know, my tone and eye contact is different. Usually it's only a polite greeting.
