Yep, if you want to lose weight and want to follow, for example, a Diet Coke and Mentos Diet, it is far more good than the normal one. Here, read this:

search for the diet listed above as well if you want.

NO. I have kept very careful logs and was curious about this question myself after I switched from being a Mountain Dew junky to Diet Coke; so I measured all my food during amateur body building and know that diet and exercise were maintained the same but still didn't lose waist size despite much exercise. Even though there are no calories in diet soda pop it causes water retention (water is 8 lbs per gallon) despite the diuretic effects of caffeine. When I stopped all soda/pop intake and consumed water as my only beverage... boom, my waist went from middle-aged 35" to my high-school 31" in a jiffy. I suspect it has something to do with sodium but could be one of the other chemicals.

If you are cutting your calories to lose weight, then yes - Diet Coke has no calories, so depending on how many regular Cokes you have a day, you could decrease your calorie intake by that many drinks. Good Luck!

Yes but you sacrifice your body to the other chemicals that are not healthy. I stopped drinking all sodas all together about two months ago. I started drinking a natural and healthy energy drink twice a day (8am & 1pm). I lost 10 pounds in the first 2 weeks and the only thing I did different was I stopped the soda as well as all other caffeine and started the energy drink. It is the first energy drink to hit the market in the "powder form" so it makes it very easy to mix no matter where you may be. Just empty one ez to carry packet into your beverage of choice and bam you got an energy drink that works in minutes and last several hours. I personally use a bottle of flavored water. You should try drinking water if you want to lose weight. Coke AND diet coke are not good for you.

If you want to lose weight, yes but if you want to be healthier, no. Diet soft drinks contain much more chemicals and stabilizers which arent good for you. To be honest, any soft drink whether diet or not is bad for you. Coke just tastes better original!

The weightloss factor does not out weigh the harmful effects that you will get from the artificial sweetener in diet coke. Try cutting the soda out completely.

Yes & no. Diet coke is....well DIET, but the syrup tends to make you hungry. I lost 30 lbs. by cutting fat out of my diet & sticking with drinks like AZ Iced tea & water.
Good luck

well, diet coke has no calories. so you will be taking in about 140 less calories than you would be. but you have to change more than just your coke.
