This sounds like something you need to speak to a lawyer about. The last thing you want to do is handle it yourself, and mess up a career.

Talk to the DA and see if you can reach a plea agreement of some sort. Make sure you explain the situation. If that don't work explain to the judge in court and maybe there would be something he/she would be able and willing to do.

Whenever I got a speeding ticket I just went in and paid it and it was my responsibilty to take a driving class. I never went before a judge and let them trial me about speeding. What is there to have a trial over? They are caught you speeding so obviously you are guilty. Are you sure you just don't have to go pay for it and then be on your merry way? Anyways, good luck with that.

All of these are things you should have thought of before having such a LEAD FOOT.
As adults we have careers to protect. You had better start thinking that way.
Do not try to speak to the policeman, it will look like bribery or coercion. Four points will look like nothing then.

please dear, dont try to get out of it because that would tick them off.get yourself a good attorney(if you cant afford 1 then try to get something like legal aid, where the gov.pays them to represent you)and see where you stand, dont try it yourself.next time after you get out of this scrape, ease off on that gas.i think in most states,if you dont get any more points, they are wiped clean every year or so.good luck in court.

You need an attorney...only they can answer your questions and maybe give you a guarantee of how it may go.
