Hi,
Firstly you have my sympathy as I know how much it hurts. But why weren't you wearing sunscreen?
Anyway there best home cure for sunburn is a really warm shower, as warm as you can stand it! The heat from the water draws the heat out of the sunburn faster.
Then make sure you drink heaps and heaps of water as this also helps your body to deal with the effects that the sunburn is having internally.
Make sure you sleep covered up as well and continue to drink lots of water. Sorry but this is the best and natural way. My poor 7 yr old had to do it earlier. She was on a school swimming trip and her sunscreen which was 30+ just wasn't strong enough.
Good luck.

Aloe Vera......see if any of your neighbours grow a plant, and ask for a juicy leaf.....slice the leaf vertically, and apply the juice gently onto the sunburnt areas. Your nearest supermarket should sell the aloe vera leaves too.
If you really can't find any aloe vera, take a couple of panadols for the pain, and apply ice cubes to the burnt areas. When taking a shower, use cold water instead of warm or hot water to help the area to heal and to soothe the pain. Also, drink plenty of fluids for optimal healing, take some vitamin C, lots of leafy greens, and avoid going out in the sun till better. If need to, apply sunscreen.
In the meantime, if you can't find any aloe vera, apply a thin layer of hypoallergenic moisturizer instead after your shower. Oh, the white lotion called hazeline snow works wonders too, particularly if kept in the fridge to cool before applying.
Hope you feel better soon.

Fell asleep on beach for five hours years ago, burn to a crisp. Went to health store and go 100% pure aloe. It comes in a gel form put it in frig and then put all over. Stops the burning because its cold and helps it heal faster.

When I was a kid we lived in a place where it got up to 115 in the summer and when we got burned my mom swore by Noxemia. It would take the burn away and help with peeling. It also helps with mosquito bites for the itching.

oatmeal. cook it runny. let it get cold smear it all over yourself and sit in a lawn chair in a bathing suit and let your skin soak up the starchy water. repeat as often as necessary to until your skin feels better or does what will eventually happen, you will peel. But this way you won't have any pain.
