Wow, that is a cracker! Is it possible that he was not in fact cheating on you? (I am just wondering about the fact that he said you violated his trust.) Anyway, he has taken the high moral ground and you are getting the blame for it. To be honest, I would not have called the other girl either as it is undignified, but you have done it and the way he seems to be handling it would not instil condifence in me, I have to say.
Up to you if you want to carry on with this, but once trust has gone (and it seems to have, on both sides) then there is no longer a realtionship.

He was manipulating you and trying to play the part of the victim in order to deflect the conversation away from the fact that he cheated on you.
Tell him that if he can't even cheat like a man, he doesn't deserve you and should stick with his new flame. Tell him that he's a poor example of even an unfailthful boyfriend, much less a typical one.
Leave this spineless loser.

I am a 58 year old man, I consider myself as good as any at manipulating people but I wouldn't try that stunt on a 12 year old girl. I can hardly believe there is anyone on the planet gullible enough to even consider it seriously.
Dump this chump immediately. He is a cheater and will keep it up as long as he has hormones.

I think he's doing a number on you, and good for you for questioning his motives. Who knows why he's crying and trying to shift the blame on you?! It's probably b/c he feels so guilty that he can't stand it, but that's no reason why you should take the brunt of it. Either that or he's seriously the master of manipulation. Either way, your beef is with him, not her. Don't call her, but definitely call HIM out on HIS cheating and HIS passive agressive crap he's dealing you.

He is trying to shift the blame to you which is what most people who are unfaithful do. I think you shouldnt have called the other girl. Its not her fault, the problem lies between you and your guy. If i were you i would dump him and move on. Dont lower yourself to their level.

Who is this guy. He is messed up!
I would just not call him or see him again. What next....you'll be like the drunk couple in my check out lane last night...
He was drunk, she had a wrist band from being released from a hospital...she couldn't fill out the check...he was yelling at her to hurry up and just sign the "bleep- thing" ....rolling his eyes......
I don't know...manipulative guys piss me off!

In psychological jargon, he was 'projecting'.
That's when someone projects their own faults onto those around them.
It's a defense mechanism humans use when cornered.
