How much should you give a 13 year old girl, for pocket money, each week?

She is my neice and her mother doesn't give her anything but she is spoilt.

The same amount as what she earns by doing odd jobs, (babysitting, dogwalking). If she earns ten pounds, I'd give her another ten pounds in pocket money. If she sits at home waiting for the money to roll in, Let her sit and wait.This has a great educational value.

Are you the recipient or the provider of this pocket money? I used to get 50p a week (ok it was the 70's) but for that I had to cut the grass, cleam the family shoes, do the evening dishes, brush the path and walk the dog. I say now 10 quid is enough - but be sure to set/do chores. It made me the man I am today....

I would give her money when she needs it. Find out what she is doing, give her a little extra in her pocket, but not too much. Make her earn her money. Have her do chores etc. Is she old enough to babysit??

i would say £10 per week but i would like her to save a percentage of the money and also for her to keep her mobile phone topped up using her pocket money she may be spoiled and have every think she needs but she also needs to learn how to manage her money and not take things for granted

i used to give my sons £2.00 per day if they helped around the house...but on a weekend i gave them about £8 each so they could go to the cinema ot the swimming baths etc...sometimes more if they really behaved themselves, it depended on how much money i had at the time, but around £8 is ok i think....depends how old they are too....

Nothing! I would make my daughter earn her money. When i was 13 i was given £1.50 a week, if i was lucky! Nowadays they seem to be getting that a day! Happy days!

£10 i reckon but at the weekend in 2 bits, bit i suppose it depend on the child if your minted give her more- middle class prob bout 10.... hope this helps x
