I am 21 weeks pregnant, and i cant relax. I worry about every little thing. I am moving at the weekend so i know that doesn't help my stress levels. I had a scan at 20 weeks, but i have to go for another one on Monday and i am really worried something may be wrong with the baby. I am scared that i won't be able to look after the baby properly when its born. I worry that i cant feel the baby move enough. I just cant stop thinking about things that could go wrong.
I was wondering if anybody has any tips to relax. I know that worrying and stressing out is exactly the thing that i shouldn't be doing at the moment but i cant help it.

Right NOW, go have an apple or a bottle of water. Taste it, notice the texture. Do some deep, slow, relaxing breathing. [Count off seconds in your mind and try to exhale twice as long as you inhale and try to make each in-breath one count longer than the last breath.]
Take a walk without a purpose.
Recall how excited and joyful you felt when you first found out you were pregnant.
Welcome to motherhood!
What you are feeling is perfectly normal. And guess what? It never ends! As long as you are a mother, you will worry about the welfare of your child. God/evolution/nature designed the female brain this way to ensure the safety and health of the next generation.
Your job is to learn to manage this stress and distress. Try to focus on what you CAN control. Worrying about the what-ifs will not make you nor your baby any healthier.

You have the same fears that we all have...the fact that you've made it to 21 weeks should be of some comfort to you. Most miscarriages happen before the first trimester ends. That's not to say that you're in the clear, but the more you worry the more stress you put on your body which affects the baby. You're doing well, you're going to be a great mom. Take a day and treat yourself, do something you enjoy and thank God that you've been given this gift. Not everyone is as lucky.

I am 20 wks and worrying is the last thing I do because I know that I have a beautiful baby growing inside of my body that feels everything I feel. If you want you baby to be fine put all you problems behind you avoid people who get on your nerves and think about that baby and what a good time you will have when it gets here. You can control you stress just think positive about everything and it will all work out for you.

Good luck to you and your unborn baby

Take up a hobby. Make sure you are eating right. Try to get plenty of rest and take a nap everyday if you can. Meditation and Yoga are also good ideas. There are methods specifically designed for pregnant women. This is your first child so it is perfectly natural to be scared. Just remember that women have been doing this for thousands of years and I am sure with allot less resources then you have available. Check with your doctor about programs for help with taking care of your baby. When we were raising our three children there was a program called WIC which helped us with formula and clothing.

My mom was really stressed of my sister to when my mom was pregnant. The best thing to do is to go to the doctor, make sure everything is ok. You will feel better when you find that your baby is ok and fine. Other than that, watch tv and take a bath, let your husband wash stuff and clean etc. lol

Go for a walk. Everyone freaks out that they won't be good enough or you won't know what to do. once you see that tiny little face everything will come together, and you'll stop freaking out.
Plus at the hospital they'll show you how to do everything if you're still worried

Talk to your doctor about your concerns, they wont think you are crazy but they will be able to ease alot of your fears. Try to eat well and get enough rest and keep your mind busy with happier thoughts. Its the holiday season so try to enjoy time with family and freinds Good luck to you.
