You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

It depends on your discipline and how quickly you want to lose:

Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution
The South Beach Diet
The Zone (pretty complicated)

Or, for fastest weight loss you can join Kimkins. Our program is located on the website. Very simple, extremely effective. Check out Success Stories and see how Heidi lost 93 lbs in 5 months or Lynda lost 213 lbs in 10 months.

I've had great success with the Rice Diet, and have gotten a lot out of the accompanying book, The Rice Diet Solution.

The Abs Diet is really good. Has nutrition and exercise together in one. It's totally doable and no crazy like Atkins.

French Women Don't Get Fat: http://www.amazon.com/French-Women-Dont-Get-Fat/dp/1400042127/sr=8-1/qid=1165504147/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-7249554-2657608?ie=UTF8&s=books

I personnally haven't read it, but I hear its a really really good book, and it inspired me to work my butt off . Its not really a "diet" book but it makes you understand certain things and it'll make your change in eating habits more of a lifestyle as opposed to a "diet".
