I don't think you interpreted that correctly. It's not just rapists that shall be stoned to death, but any one who's an adulterer.

But- it sounds like you're trying to reason with people of 'faith'.
The definition of faith is the opposite of reason.

God is not a rapist. Mary consented to this arrangement. it was important that the mother of the Christ child be a virgin so no earthly man could claim the child. If you conitnue reading you will see that Mary says, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word."
