Does anybody know the path to the sound drivers on the Microsoft XP CD Rom?

Windows will detect the device and install drivers if they exist in the windows driver catalog. However if they don't then it will report them as an unknow device. If your sound device is motherboard based then you will need to go to the manufacturers website and download the appropriate drivers by model #...

if they didn't load on the setup they 're not on the cd go to the soundcards site and get the drivers there
