The question was have we ever won a war. Revolutionary, Civil war (if you call beating ourselves a win), Winning sides of WWI and WWII, and a few others.
Now im wondering why everyone has to be spreading there opinions, bring politicians, and the media into it. Everyone has there own brand of propaganda. Im sure if someone said the War in Iraq was for all the beachfront property over there someone would believe it. Just the same as all those invisible WMD's that were found. Just tryin to prove a point dont beleive everything you here or see. Do some of your own research.

A better question would be has the United States actually lost any wars? If so, when? Do not post Vietnam because contrary to popular belief we did not lose that war, we just stopped fighting it. Victory is a clearly defined objective the problem is that our wars have become mired in politics rather than military objectives. When politics becomes the sole driving force winning becomes secondary to the politics involved. This is because the objectives become cloudy and lost in an ever changing stream of pandering to public opinion. This trend began in Korea when the politicians stopped allowing the military to control of the nature of warfare and usurped it for themselves. In short we were doomed in future wars from the minute Truman fired MacArthur.

It depends on your victory terms, but these are all clear victories:
Revolutionary War: The US succeeded at gaining independence
War of 1812: The US succeeded at repelling the invading British forces
Civil War: The Confederates were successfully defeated and brought back into the union
Spanish-American War: the US successfully defeated Spanish forces, and gained new territories
WWI: The US, along with all Allied forces, forced the Central Powers to agree to an armistice.
WWII: The US, along with the remaining Allied forces, thoroughly defeated all Axis powers
Cold War: The USSR collapsed, we did not
The outcome of these two wars is less clear:
Korean War: We are still in a stalemate with North Korea, and little has happened in the last 50 years
Vietnam War: The US ultimately decided to leave without attempting to invade North Vietnam, but the US did achieve the goal of not losing until it first made diplomatic gains with China, which ultimately strengthened our position against the USSR. Also, after leaving Vietnam, the Chinese came in and defeated the Vietnamese in a war only a few years later, which means that we gained a diplomatic victory, but suffered a military loss.

Indian wars was fought for a very long time. We destroyed the Indian's food supplies, pushed them into small spaces of worthless land and won a vast western territory. Rest of our wars won are mentioned above.

You are kidding, right?
We won every war so far save Vietnam, and the Liberal media wants us to lose in Iraq as well. Let me expand on this:
Why would Liberals want the US to lose a war?
1. Vietnam was the heyday of Liberalism, where it was cool to hate America.
2. Shame for having so much while the world is poor. They ignore that most of these poor countries are run by a dictator like Saddam.
3. Multicultural retardation: Multiculturalism has become the religion of Liberalism. It doesn't matter if Islam treats women like cattle, or that they cut off people's heads who disagree or express free speech, they say "Its their CULTURE" and get this blank look on their faces, knowing it is not a well thought out answer.
4. Jimmy Carterism: We need to talk to our enemies. Even if we NEVER cause a change or stop an evil regime, talk is always best. To talk is holy, it means we are thinking rather than being brutish. If we had only talked to Hitler he would have seen reason, if we had only talked to Saddam he would have embraced Democracy and closed his torture rooms.
This is why Liberals usually occomplish nada on any front. They believe in "speaking softly and carrying a limp noodle".

I don't believe they have actually won a war on their own but take credit for all the ones they are involved in and give no credit to allied troops.

the war of independence with french help, the war with mexico
they were on the winning side of ww1 and ww2. no matter what anyone says they did not win the war of 1812, it was a draw and can be more easily argued as a British victory than a american one.

Umm....yeah, we have won wars we have been involved in. Several times, in fact. We were involved in WWI, on the winning side....and again in WWII, on the winning side....and technically, you could say we "won" the Civil War as well...and the Revolutionary War.....

Korean War- Was a tie, but we killed more of them than they did of us...if MacArthur had his way we would have won...
Viet Nam- Military won the war...the politic ans lost it...
The Bay of Pigs- US vs Cuba...John Kennedy lost that one...he was a loser...

Panama- US vs Panama to get Noriega...US won in a few days...
Persian Gulf War- US vs Iraq....US won in a few short days
War on Terrorism- The jury is still out on this one...we are winning the battles...politicians losing the PR war...
So the US is like 14-0-2....
