If I am not mistaken, the RAR extension denotes an archive program which compresses files. I suggest you go to www.download.com and search for an rar extractor or decompressor (or whatever the term is for getting a file out of an RAR compressed state).

RAR is not an audio file, it is a compress file (like a ZIP file). I suggest using AlZip, it is free and supports many compressed file types. Just open the RAR file in AlZip and drag the file that is inside the RAR file to wherever you want to and then you can open it.

if it has an extension ".RAR" that means it is a compressed song i.e similar to zip, u have to first unzip it using WinRAR
(it is like WinZip). Then u can play this mp3 song in Real Player.

If I am not mistaken, the .RAR extension is for Real Player and it should play back your file. Generally I feel this extension is a lot of headache so try avoiding downloading anything with this extension.
