I would because I own a large farm and I could always use a free field hand.

Under the correct circumstances, yes. I primarily wouldn't adopt if I intended on having several of my own children, to ensure that the adopted child didn't feel left out. I've actually considered doing a sort of foster home, or adopting older children (14+) because by the time my own children would be old enough to understand that Frankie or Jim wasn't their biological sibling, Frankie or Jim would probably living on their own. Then the foster/adopted child would feel as much a part of my family as a birth child.

I did. My first husband was unable to have children, so we adopted firstly a boy whom we got when he was almost 3 weeks old and then a girl who was 5 1/2 weeks old when she came to us. The feeling of pure maternal joy when I held my babies for the first time was unreal.

The marriage came apart at the seams (for reasons that had nothing to do with children) and I later remarried. My 2nd husband, who was himself adopted, was wonderful with my two children of whom I had full custody, and when I became pregnant less than a year after the wedding we involved them greatly with the pregnancy. I had one concern only ... how would I feel when I first held the baby? When she was placed in my arms immediately after birth I felt exactly the same beautiful, warm maternal rush of love which had engulfed me the first time I held my other two babies. There was no difference.

They're all grown now and my first two have babies (one is two weeks old) of their own. We're very close and they've all told me that they never felt anything much about being either adopted or otherwise. The youngest (natural) daughter had the only problems; the older two and I had reading glasses, and as a small child she always wanted to be like her brother and sister and have glasses and be adopted.

OMG....YES!!!
Definately would help a child who is less fortunate. If you have a love and desire for children than why wouldn't you? It's a gift of life that you're giving.
I love children and if I were in the situation to adopt, I would. I don't just have to have my own, I could love and care for any child just as I could my own. Adoptive parents give children a chance of a lifetime to be healthy, educated, loved, and just live a normal life. Of course I would.

Yes, I would absolutely love to adopt. My husband is not into it.
I would like to adopt a 4-12 year old daughter.

I would definately adopt a girl if I could ... I have three boys and obviously had no luck getting a girl so I would adopt. I can't have any more children so a girl would be great... I would give her a good loving home just like my boys grew up in.

Yes I would adopt but, only from my country -USA- Everyone always wants to adopt overseas, children here need loving homes too and often they are ignored.

I would definitely consider it, if I decided I wanted children. What justification is there to bring a child into the world when there are so many already who don't have a family?

YES I WOULD CAUSE EVERY CHILD DESERVES A CHANCE IN LIFE TO BE LOVED NO MATTER WHAT RACE THEY ARE. THEY DIDN'T ASK TO BE BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD AND LEFT ALONE, SO IF I HAD THE CHANCE TO ADOPT AS MANY CHILDREN AS I COULD. ENJOY THEM WHILE YOU CAN CAUSE THEY GROW UP TO FAST.
