no because trace elements still show up in the urine...however, you can foul the sample enough to show false possitives. If yur worried about a drug test, a way to foul the exam is to wash your hands with liquid soap prior to urinating, but dont was the soap off your hands. As sick as this sounds, if you urinate on hand that has the soap you can introduce the soap into the sample and actually foul the results.

No, the tech could refuse the sample for being diluted. People try this by drinking tons of water- which is basically the same as adding water to your urine. Also, the temperature will be off.

it will show up in the tox screen. Some tests will even show if you drank a lot of water prior to the test. If you want to detox your urine there are kits available at most smoke shops.
You will not pass the drug screen if you try to dilute your urine with water. The other alternative is to get "clean" urine from a friend. Make sure to keep it warm. Cold pee would definitely be a sign of tampering.

Hi there -
The only thing that will happen if you put water in your urine is that it will dilute the sample.
And if that sample is being tested it will show up and if its for a drug test etc not only will you look like a fool but you will also be in a lot of trouble.
A pathologist friend of mine says they see it in the lab everyday. There is always some-one who tries it and they always get caught.

No, in a urine drug test, they test the temp. of the urine and if water has been added the temp will be too high or too low. Also test the pH of your urine which is how acidic or alkaline the urine is--there is a normal range for acidity and alkalinity of urine--if has been diluted these ranges will be abnormal. Sorry, Good Luck to you!

No, you would probably fail for tainting your sample. Not only do they check for illegal substances, they also check for legal things that are used to alter drug tests, like water and vinegar.
