Not necessarily, but it could. Watch her and see how she responds to voice and other sounds. It would be a good idea to test her hearing also.

My 4 yr old is a loud talker, also. But it is more (for him) because he wants to be heard and to know he is heard. Especially if he is really wanting attention or is tired. Plus, it is in his genes. My mother is a loud talker and I really have to watch my voice.

I constantly remind him that he needs to lower his voice. And he does have to be taught to control his voice level, as does your niece.

maybe, My niece is 4 yrs old also, but she doesn't have a problem. It could be attention or that to you a room with people speaking softly could be super loud for her. She needs to burn off energy and have play time for 15 to 30 mins to waste this energy.

No! My son is six years old snd he talks really loud, so I was afraid that he had hearing problems as well, so I took him to the doctor toget him checked out, he was fine. Some children just talk with alot of excitement, or sometime don't know how to controll their voice level, especialy at the age of four.

My son had the exact same problem!!!

He passed hearing test, and speech test.

He was seeing a new doctor and he had asked me if that was my son's voice was normally that loud. It turns out to be bumps on their vocal chords, which they will out grow.

It changes the volume of their voice, they will have to learn to control their voice more than other kids, but after awhile it becomes habit for them.

She probably just gets excited and wants to make sure she is heard. I would take the time to listen and also explain the difference between her inside and outside voice.

yes, but the good news is that hearing tests are easy and quick.

Have you noticed her making the volume on the TV louder than usual, can she hear you well enough when you talk to her?

It could, but I would start with the fact that no one probably explains to her that she is speaking too loudly. She probably has to do it to get attention.

Not necessarily it could just mean that nobody taught her not to speak loudly indoors.
