I've already sat them once, but would like to practise more this time round as the familiarisation booklet is a bit basic.

I've no idea what is in them, but exceptional communication skills are vital. I am not talking about foreign languages (although such skills are desirable), but I am referring to being aware of nuance and hidden meaning in your own language. They say a good diplomat is somebody who can tell you to go to hell, and make you look forward to the trip.

Plus have a diverse range of intellectual pursuits, an inquisitive mind, a natural facility to gain rapport with people and a comfortable effortless poise. Or so it seems. Then again I know a US diplomat who looks like an extra from Deliverence.

perhaps i did not understand your question exaclty ? where are you located now ? for there some sites and links in some countries where you may find help with the study on FCO

have you tried some libraries on lines of your location ?
i did not find any link on the internet ........
