Of course creationism is silly and flawed. Creationists pretend to use logic up to the point that they cannot easily explain something, and then they turn all unknowns over to "God's magic."
While climbing some 14ers this past summer, I took some pictures of sedimentary rock at 14,200' above sea level here in Colorado. Sedimentary layers. As in "used to be a lake or sea bed" type rock. Thousands of miles away from any ocean or major body of water.
Creationism appears to be another way to catch people with the illusion of logic and then conveniently insert Christianity when needed in an attempt to convert more people.

Do I have to be a creationists to answer? Don't scientist teach that the planet was once covered with water? Hasn't the earth undergone tremendous change over the centuries due to through tremendous pressures and geologic force?. I recently watched a documentary about the grand canyon which attests to this. Isn't it true the face of the earth has changed much over the eons? Haven't many land masses been thrust from the sea. There is a tremendous amount of water on the earth. If all of the surface on land was leveled the earth would be covered with 3 miles of water. So I think your reasoning is faulty.

You are assuming that someone's strictest interpretation of the Creation is the only possibility. The fact is that we just don't know. The details in scripture about both the Creation and the Flood are very vague at best. The bottom line is that neither story is all that important to the doctrine of Jesus Christ's gospel. Neither evolution nor geology pose any conflict with the Bible.

The interest in coaching creationism at an early age is predicated on the extra effective probabilities of implanting the techniques of religion via fabulous whilst the iron is warm. youthful minds are much less able to refuting illogical reasoning and are liable to accepting that imaginary and mystical "reasoning" is real and consequently worth of help. the lecture room as a messenger additionally incorporates alongside with it a diploma of credibility that could not be discovered outdoors of a learning business enterprise. in case you be taught that creation technological expertise is "real" interior an identical room the place you're taught that a million+a million=2, you a miles less apt to ask questions touching directly to the "info" of creation on your later years. creation technological expertise isn't technological expertise... smart layout isn't smart... As the flood waters began to recede the higher mountains began to ascend, doing so while there was only Noah and his family and most of the earth was under water.
"With a watery deep just like a garment you covered it.
The waters were standing above the very mountains.
At your rebuke they began to flee;
At the sound of your thunder they were sent running in panic—
Mountains proceeded to ascend,
Valley plains proceeded to descend—
To the place that you have founded for them." - Psalm 104:6-8.
Prior to the Flood the earth was much flatter; it would take not as much water to cover the earth as it would today.
Additionally, oceans may have covered what later came to be Mt. Everest, or the waters of the flood deposited them there. There are any number of reasonable possibilities.

Or may be it was just a trick? I bet somebody will say that, or blame it on Noah's flood.

You are not going to get ONE logical answer from a convinced creationist, but you aren’t going to convince them that they are wrong either. Some of them are going to use some quasi-logic on you and it’s going to make your eye twitch and others are going to say “I simply have faith”. There is no logic on that side of the fence; I can tell you that from here since I happen to be sitting on it (agnostic). lol – joke at my own expense.

All that, UNLESS, the biblical account were true, and it had to do with GOD. I was really surprised to see how your question ended up, because I thought that based on all you were saying YOU were a creationist! LOL, you need to be more honest with yourself. It all points to the bible, again......
