Fiber is better. Psyllium will give you alot of gas!
Also, lots of foods will give you the fiver that your body needs.

I've been useing Psyllium Husk and it works fine. It bulks in your belly and scrapes the intestinal walls on it's way out thus removeing "old" stuff left in there (EEWWW). You still need to eat fiber though.
Try eating at least one salad with some kidney or garbanzo beans in it each day and switch to grape nuts or oatmeal for breakfast and use the Psyllium powder for about a month as an extra boost to clean you out.
Be sure to drink lots of water(40 oz a day) and get at least 30-60 minutes a day of exercise.

They're exactly the same thing.

Each capsule provides roughly 1 gram of fiber. The recommendation is 30 grams of fiber per day, which could get expensive.

If you like veggies, most Kimkins friendly veggies provide 1-2 grams of fiber per serving and you reap the benefits of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.

Be aware that if you're trying to lose weight, psyllium works by bulking and absorbs water. This can cause a temporary weight gain due to water and it can also "plug" the colon ... also temporary. Bottom line, don't freak.

and they ARE NOT the same thing
one is made up of several types of materials
and the other is just one material Psyllium Husk, at least you know what your putting into your body with this one.
the other unless it states what makes up the fiber, it could be anything at all. anything
I would read the labels carefully, and if it did not SPELL it out I would not use that one at all...some of the additives may not even be natural..
at least the husks are natural..
good luck

Why would you take fiber supplements? There's so much beautiful food that's loaded with fiber, so I'd suggest some whole grain cereal + flax seeds (flax seeds are loaded with fiber).
