ash ash ash ash is your friend!!! and MEDIUM ash at that!!! dont worry medium is still a light blonde!!! just that the word "medium" means more ash is in it...ive used medium ash a hundred times in the last 15+ years...always takes the red/orange/yellow tones OUT!! I like preference medium ash blonde or its just called 8A ash blonde (has a lot of ash in it) and even revlon colorsilk medium ash blonde (cheap but dont be afraid its good stuff!).... any medium ash blonde.... remember to bleach first! but dont be scared when it comes out orangy/yellow...... just use the ash blonde:)

If you're looking to go totally blonde if you're a redhead can be quite tricky if you don't know what you're doing. You really need to consult a professional and not do a "home" job on your hair.

Being around my aunt, who is a hairdresser and has been for over 35 years, and going to beauty school myself, I truly know how important and scary decisions like this can be.

I am wondering if you are just going to do blonde highlights (which would look very pretty and natural) or if you are going to go totally blonde. If you ARE going to go totally blonde, please go to a professional, as red hair as well as gray hair need to be processed very carefully. DO NOT use products, such as "Sun In" on your hair! Not only will your hair look like straw, it will also damage your hair and you will end up looking like "Bozo the Clown".

Also, you are going to need to take into account your skin coloring. If you are naturally a redhead, usually you would have warmer skin tones and you will need a warmer blonde coloring. You want to stay away from "ashey" blonde colors, as it will make you look pale. Hope this helps and good luck! :)

yes but i strongly suggest that you seek professional help..at home bleaching kits can extremely damage your hair if you are not careful and leave it on too long and you can get anywhere from neon yellow to bright orange if you don't leave it on long enough.professionals will follow up with a conditioning treatment to help minimize damage
