Because society as a whole is afraid of anyone that isn't part of the "norm". Boys don't wear dresses, girls don't play with tools and try to fix things like daddy. That's the rule that everyone thinks everyone else is suppose to live by. In other words, people are too worried about the appearance, and don't even look at the person.

Because some people are homophobic and boys who dress like girls are commonly perceived as homosexual.
I'm a woman who used to dress as a boy and play with boy toys all the time when I was a little kid, but no one ever thought I was a homosexual - I don't know why there is the double standard.
Sad world we live in today - people are always so judgmental!

Society believes that it is healthy for boys to want to be boys and for girls to want to be girls. When a boy likes to wear girl's clothes and pretend that he's a girl, then something is wrong.
A person who is a compulsive crossdressing is exhibiting severe addiction symptoms. When he puts on women's clothes then his brain releases a series of neurotransmitters which gives him a sensation of well-being, self-gratification, pleasure and self-identity. He tries harder and harder to achieve the best "high" possible. If he tries to quit, he can't.. He just returns worse than before. At some point, he develops a female alter-ego, he gives "her" a name, and eventually falls in love with his alter-ego. If he gets married then he will try to get his wife to participate in this, he will try to find others who will encourage him on. Eventually, his wife will say that she feels like his second love. When he gets around 40 years old the compulsive crossdresser will have an identify crisis and will consider surgery to be a woman 24/7. He will often leave his wife and family to pursue his addiction.
Compulsive crossdressers have to get control over their addiction or it will control them.

because it totally goes against the way God made them. They're supposed to be strong figures of support, and not acting that way. plus, a lot of gay men that dress and act like girls are very psycho
