If you see how Christianity is divided today, and when you try to understand it, you will see that everybody think that they are real followers, and real believers too. I think that believer is much more complexed category than a follower. If you concentrate too much on following, you will too much care about some trivial things - how to dress, how to eat.... The point isn't in that. It is in how do you feel it and see it deep in your heart. I think people too much think about superficial things related to faith, and totally misunderstand the essence of faith.

From my christian perspective, to be a real believer, you believe beyond a shadow of doubt in Jesus. To be a real follower, well that takes a life time of walking with Jesus, and the desire to put self aside, not always easy to do, none the less still a real follower.
