I feel bad that several answers to your question are so full of hate and dripping with venom. I don't understand why people are that way, but I'm sure you and I both agree that it shows the emptiness that must be inside them.
To answer your question, it sounds as if you've already identified those issues which are causing you internal conflict:
1) Your involvement with God (ie activity with church, giving service to others, etc)
2) Your choice of music
Both of these issues can definitely impact you. If you feel better when you are actively involved with your faith, then I would encourage you to look for ways to be more active in living your faith. If the music you've been listening to is bringing you down, change your music.
Don't give up. What Satan (and some folks here) want you to do is give up and sink to the lowest common denominator.
Hope that helps!

We all go through this. I can't say wether it is an attack or what. Here's what is most likely going on. In Romans, Paul talks about our struggle with our sin nature. This struggle continues as a christian. It's when you don't struggle with your sin that you have a problem. If you see something specific in your life causing this struggle, you should take a look at getting rid of it and see what happens. I am a christian. I still sin. I sin less than I did 5 yrs ago, and I hope that I sin less 5 yrs from now. It is because of this struggle that I can say this.
I have felt what you're feeling lately. Go to God's word and repeat it over and over. Look up His promises to you. He said that He would never let you go (no matter what you do). He is perfect (His timing, His power, etc.)
James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
2Tim 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self discipline.
So, let me ask you. Have you been reading daily? When you are not in the Word regularly, it opens you up to lies and false teaching. Maybe you could replace that music with a little time with God. Good luck brother in remembering who you are.

When did you become a Believer? [See John 3:3-to-7 -&- John 7:38-39]
IS YOUR = Faith = based on Your Works in Believing -or- in the Finished Work of Christ?
Most Christian [So-Called] Muisc is NOT REALLY CHRISTIAN! IT is not = ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES!
How about the Song, "Our God is an Awsome GOD!" IT is Scriptually INCORRECT!
(Isaiah 44:8) Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
GOD, by His Very WORD, say He knows Not ANY!
Real Biblical Faith is based Soley on the HOLY SCRITPTURES!
(Romans 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by The Word of God.

Hi Jake, listen do not be fooled by people acting as if they are sailing along in a boat, if you are truly Christian then you are in the minefield of battle today, their is a terrific rise of neo-paganism and cults such as wicca and satanism, and Christians are fully under attack at this time, so of course you are going to feel deflated at times as this is the nature of spiritual warfare.
the remedy is to keep Christ at the center of your life each day and rely on Him for your strength, do not concern yourself with winning the battle that is up to Christ, it is enough for you not to back off as if defeated, remember the battle belongs to the Lord.
take courage and look hard at those things that have crept into your life lately and turn away from them, the devil uses anything and everything to addict us to the spirit of the world that Jesus has condemned and overcome for us.
God bless.

God would not administration what you think of. He won't purely open up faith to you. you may learn the Bible to discover the actuality. and you may tutor to your self that God is genuine. Blind faith isn't scriptural- James 2:14-17; Hebrews 11:a million; Acts 17:11

Maybe deep down inside your rationality and reason are catching some of the inconsistencies in your belief. Check them out. Don't get depressed for just questioning what people tell you, including those that tell you that some god said something or other. You've been heavily indoctrinated into a belief, including being made to feel guilty about listening to music that has "not so good stuff". I don't know what you consider "not so good stuff", but lots of art does give you insight into what other people think. And opening yourself up to other worldviews broadens your own.
Don't lock yourself into a cocoon.

well, it sounds to me like you are going to have to make a choice soon as to whether you are going to continue listening to the music or stop. I see that you notice the difference between how you feel now that you are listening to that type of music and how you felt then when you weren't. Simple solution would b 2 pray/repent, and stop listening to the music.
If I can be of help in anyway, please feel free to contact me...

Well stop listening to junk music that makes you down. If your saved then your saved, but only you would know that. Satan can blind a person into thinking they are saved, and all along they wasnt saved. Search the scriptures and ask God to show ya.

Your question amuses me. Do you want hear that it's the devil, attacking your spirituality through the music? You must or you wouldn't have mentioned it. You already made the connection in your mind now you want a chorus of "Baaing" confirmation. Pathetic.
There is no god.
