Jesus spoke these WORDS, indicating that WE ARE NOT ALL CHILDREN OF GOD! Will YOU Argue with HIM?

(John 8:42-to-45) JESUS said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love Me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He [GOD] sent Me [JESUS].

(John 8:43) Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My WORD.

(John 8:44) YOU ARE OF 'YOUR FATHER' THE DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh A LIE, he speaketh OF HIS OWN [Children]: for he is A LIAR, and the father of IT [All LIES].

(John 8:45) And because I [JESUS] tell you The TRUTHt, you believe Me not.

WHO DID JESUS tell that their Father = was the Devil, who is the Father of All LIES?

Thanks, RR

Someone else is definitely my father.

Not one single word of the New Testament is a transcription of a sentence that Jesus actually spoke. It is presumed that the sermon on the Mount corresponds with his ideas but the man had been dead for almost half a century before anyone thought to write about him. I don't call that reliable, corroborated witness, sorry.

Every True Saint of God, has only one father, & That is the one true God, But the sinners, also has a father, & that is satan. Didn't Jesus said one time that ye are of you father, Because he was a liar from the beginning, so to the Christins, God Is our Father, & to the sinners, Satan is your father, Satan persuaded Cain to kill Abel, & all lies come from satan. But if we give our life over to God truefully, Then God is our father, & satan falls in the section as a evil father of which we no longer will be satan's son. But the Son of God.

I find it almost scary that someone actually said you chose which family you belong to and if you dont then you chose satans by default....haha What about those of us who just would like to be a good person and have good morals. God will punish us for not belonging to any religious group even though we were good people and in most cases treated others better than some "christians" out there. If someone is going to condem me to hell for that well then I just dont understand it at all. Maybe I am missing something????

By the way I know who my father is...I am going to see him tonight and watch a good basketball game!

What makes you think Jesus actually spoke those words? Even according to your own quotes, John spoke those words, though experts generally agree that there was much editing on them. They were written decades after the stuff Paul wrote about Jesus, and Pauls works were written decades after Jesus supposedly died. And the much of the stuff that John mentions is not mentioned at all in what Paul wrote.

Yes i would argue with him. Now, if you got this from the bible then we are not sure that Jesus said this. The bible was written and rewritten too many a time to confirm that all that was said is true.
But we are all children of the Most High, Olodumare. Mojuba ile Baba.
God made us all. Every single one of us. From those of us walking the earth to those that are swimming in their womb of their mother.
I would have a big debate with Jesus.

Well you have to understand the intent of the words here. He was not giving a literal description of the Jews' father, but telling them that they were not following God's will, but the devil's. He was telling them that if they were "in tune" with God's will, they would accept him, but because they were not "in tune" they rejected him and followed after the carnalities of the devil.

Great reflective question.

John 1:12-13 tells us that only those who are spiritually "reborn" (Born Again) are properly Children of God:

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

As you pointed out, Jesus told us those who reject Him reject the Father, too. Therefore, they do not have the Father in them. These are unbelievers and the spiritual children of the prince of this world, Satan. Jew or gentile, man or woman, old or young: unbelief has caused them to be instruments of Satan.

Praise God that He sent His Only Begotten Son to earth to reconcile us to Him!

Peace.

but as many as believed him to them gave he power to become the sons (children) of God.even to them that believed on his name. Any one who is not the child of God after this fashion is of the Devil.

Jesus did speak these words:

"So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shallcome forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth". - Jesus (Matt. 13:49)
