Meucci,Joss,McDermont,Viking are the best cues for the money,of course you can get into the $3000 and up range with cues like phillepa but if you play good enough to use those cues you should be playing on a pro level

I win tournaments with the cheap crappy house cues. Gotta find a straight one though. Reliable as hell, but dont last a very long time, then again, I can still win games in the pub without having to bring in a case. Its a sleeper move but oh well. I do also like the Viking. But never bring it out. Oh well....special occassions.

A basic house cue will do just fine it´s the tip that makes the cue do what you want.

Really do like my "Predator"....it pretty much answers in my mind all of the questions that I would want in a "stick"....check it out..it has worked ok for me....just not gotten me on the tour however......seriously....really great pool cue....used it 10-12 years not......good luck with your research

I have had my viking for over 20 years now. I break with it and use it allot. I have never had to have even the tip replaced on it. So if you can find even a used one I would recommend it above anything else.
