A cat.
But it is not ’WOULD’, I really speak to my cat!

Actually I once had the following experience: I was going for a hike in the Swiss Alps. I guessed that there might be some capricorns on and behind a little knoll, so i climbed up and made signs to my family to follow me.
All of a sudden I chanced upon a group of about 15 capricorns lying in the grass behind some boulders. Their leader was closest to me (at the most 10 meters away). He jumped up and faced me. Some other animal of the group also got up, they were all watching me.
I told him very calmly that I was no danger and asked him to lie down again so that my two daughters and my wife would also have the pleasure of admiring him and his group. After about two minutes he settled down in the grass, my family crept up behind me and we had the wonderful experience of watching these elegant creatures for about 20 minutes. After that time, I thanked them for their patience and we withdrew silently. They remained where they were.

Well, you can speak to any animal now. Now, if you mean they can talk back, then I think a Dog. I think it would be neat to ask them why they made such a mess in the house/yard while I was away.

I would like to be able to converse with my dog, a maltese terrier.
So i would know how she feels and ask her questions like, am I a good friend to her and stuff like that, or like, i would ask her what she did the whole time I was at work.,
