I don't usually give to the homeless people who actually panhandle/beg because it can be a scam. I've seen some people who do that don't don't look too unfortunate at all. I believe that the ones who don't panhandle are the ones who are real and it's those people I donate to.

Great question! As gullible as people tell me I am, I would not be able to believe this guy! I might try to help him though. I'm broke right now and don't have a lot to give, but I would probably buy him a cheeseburger or something. I'd have trouble trusting him unelss he could show me some kind of sign or miracle that he was who he said. That might be kind of mean if he was really Jesus or something, but there are a lot of crazy homeless ppl out there you know!

Na, I wouldn't believe him.
If you live in my city, his nickname is "the preacher" or "the preacher man"
He walks around drunk screaming the bible at cars stopped at the intersections. begs for money, terrorizes the local bus company by standing up against the buses when they are at stops, harasses some of the school girls, etc. A couple of the local homeless have admitted smoking crack with him.
Don't usually walk past, though I won't give him money, I have bought him something to eat.

I would just keep on walking. I live downtown in a big city and go out quite a bit. I see enough homeless people on a daily basis. There is only one homeless person that I have encountered and felt obliged to help. His sign read, "I ain't gonna lie, I just want money for beer." He touched me with his honesty. I gave him some money.

The question was, would you believe him or not.
If its as simple as that...
No.
Why should I? God designed us to be skeptics. No son of god would tell me he is the son of god and expect me to believe him without giving me a reason to.
What if I am being tested?
Silly circular question. Theres no guilt in not helping someone who can help themselves. If he really was the son of god, he wouldnt need my help.
So do I fail the test by not helping someone who doesnt need it?
The real son of god will forgive me.

I wouldn't believe he was the Son of God, but I would do everything I could to help him out, for the Scripture says, "Beware, lest ye entertain angels unawares." We'd be well served to help where we can as long it's with BENEFIT and not just throwing money at them with which to fuel an alcohol/drug habit.

I would help him if I could but wouldn't believe he was the son of god in all honesty if I was around when Jesus was around I probaly wouldn't have believed him either that is until I saw him raise the dead, exocise demons, heal the sick etc... And I doubt some homless guy could do that.

No reasonable god would punish a man for not risking himself around a man claiming to be something he in all probability is not. So I would walk away, confident in my ability to contest and defeat any prosecution against me based upon the supposed failure of a ludicrous test.

No, because the son of God wouldn't tell you he was the son of god, the point of the test it to see what you would do not knowing who he was.
But I would help him out if I had the means, (and if he didn't smell like alchohol)

It happens quite often. Illusions, delusions, halucinations are common schyzoid mental disorders. Many people suffer from these disorders and unfortunately these disorders are sometime encouraged instead of being treated.
