Yes, and gals do the same. There was this guy who gave me his number, time had elapsed and |I was too shy to phone it so I texted him. It was so much easier - if he had chosen not to reply then it wouldn't really have mattered - unlike a phone call where rejection is painful. If a guy is shy and sensitive, then he probably will prefer to text at first. It gives you both more control over the situation. It doesn't impose - you can answer when it is conveniant for you. I think texting is really good for relationships, takes the pressure off and is really fun as well.

If a man texted me rather than called me, I would be insulted. I don't care how shy he is. Text's just say to me that he isn't interested enough.

nicely, i think of what you're doing is texting him approximately unimportant issues. possibly in case you texted him well worth something to text fabric back approximately then he might. If they are shy (like me) then texting is the best way forward. Whether or not women prefer this, I don't know, as they usually tell me to go away anyway :p

If he is shy he will start off by texting her. Its easier for him to say what he wants and helps him build up some confidence.

well personally, the guy i like (somewhat likes me) always texts me. but recently, because we text too much, he had to stop. so now he just continually calls me and we talk for hours.

That looks silly to me too why they dont better try to talk with me. Feel I will never be nice to the guy who just text me.May be they think it is sexy or something, it is NOT!
